Tis the season to be fashionable! Halloween is over which means it’s time to Fa La La La fall in love with the holiday trends.
Silly puns aside, we’re finally in the season where festive is in-style and over-the-top is common. With all of the possibilities and the variety of occasions to celebrate the 2017 holiday season, it’s not always easy to find a place to start. Let Body Bark be your foundation this winter.
Body Bark is the perfect building block for your winter fashion extravaganzas. It’s light-weight fabric lends well to layers and the neutral colors bring balance to any ensemble.
It seems like everyone hosts a party during the holiday season, so constructing an outfit for each event can be overwhelming! Take a look below at some holiday fashion inspiration for each and every holiday occasion:
Networking Holiday Event:
It may not be the fun soiree that you anticipate all season, but it is equally as important. A networking event is the perfect opportunity to try out your “first impression” outfit. These are the clothes you know will catch other’s attention, but still exude a confident and professional aura.

For this look, I suggest going with a casual top paired with a more formal bottom and formal accessories. This outfit, compiled of plaid top, skirt, belt and heels will keep you looking professional and feeling comfortable. Body Bark offers a navy scoop neck long sleeve shirt that will avoid any unwanted button gaps or wrinkles in your top, as well as keep you warm in the chilly winter months. Layer on a navy blazer for the added protection from the cold and the ultimate impressive look.
Office Holiday Party:
If you’re anything like me, the holiday party for my office is the most difficult event to dress for. I never know how professional to go or how fun to allow myself to dress! It’s important that you remain professional for your bosses, but that your look reflects your personality and the joys of the holiday season. Stay far away from clothes that are too revealing and try to jazz up some of your professional blouses.

I suggest this fun (yet modest) skirt from Morning Lavender paired with their white bow blouse. Both of these are professional enough to wear again to the office, but paired together, give a festive and feminine look. Pair them with a simple and modern belt, some solid black pumps and your favorite sparkly earrings.. Don’t forget a solid white Body Bark tank, though. Don’t risk any unflattering or revealing lighting with the sheer white blouse. If it’s a little chilly the day of your event, throw on your standard black tights.
Outdoor Holiday Festival:
Here in Denver, we have the German Christkindl market downtown every year. It’s so much fun to walk around with a group of friends, check out all the vendors and grab a hot mulled wine. This is the time to break out your coziest sweaters and cute booties for a ton of festive winter fun.

My suggestion is this gorgeous cardigan from Nordstrom. It’s simple, functional and comfortable. Pair that with a pair of jeans, a pop of color with a belt and your go-to scarf and you’ll be set for the night. Layer everything on top of a Body Bark long-sleeve. I suggest the white or black to let your accessories shine. If you’re not sold on this cardigan, I have tons of suggestions… they’re kinda my thing.
Formal Holiday Gala:
The more formal the event you’re attending, the more bling you want to break out. The holidays are the perfect excuse to bring on the sparkle. Formal holiday events only come around once and awhile, so it’s time to break out all the stops. Gets your man’s suit dry-cleaned and make yourself a salon appointment.

My suggestion for this beautiful evening is a high-waist black and gold skirt. I know, a skirt for a formal event? This is the direction to go, trust me. It shows that you’re trendy, professional, classy and put-together. Put the emphasis on your accessories and the elegance of your skirt by pairing it with the Body Bark black turtleneck. If it’s chilly, bring a shawl with you. Finish off the outfit with the most perfect Kate Spade necklace and some embellished black heels.
A Friend’s Get Together:
The holidays are the time to be thankful for and appreciate your friends. Whether you’re attending a “Friendsgiving” meal or hosting a holiday shindig, it’s your opportunity to try your hand at some new fashionable trends. Now is the time to step outside of your comfort zone and try something a little different.

The next step in fashion bad-assness is fur. It’s a bold statement that is meant for the winter. This vest paired with a flowy blouse layered over a Body Bark tank is the perfect statement piece. A pair of black jeans and black pumps keep you stylish and comfortable throughout the night. Trust me, you’ll have all your friends raving about your bold fashion choices.
Family Reunion:
Spend a little extra time with your family this holiday season. Now is the perfect time to plan that reunion and see those loved ones that may be a little far away to see regularly. When dressing for your family dinner, keep it comfortable…save room for that second piece of pie.

A sweater dress is the perfect piece. Mom will be happy that you dressed up for your family and you’ll be happy that you don’t have the squeeze into any insane (or outdated) number. Pair the dress with high boots to keep your legs warm and wear your Body Bark dress underneath to avoid wrinkles and riding up. Depending on the weather, finish your outfit off with a simple scarf or elegant necklace. If it’s too cold, feel free to throw on a pair of tights or soft Body Bark leggings.
Don’t miss out on this holiday fashion that will keep you on trend. Let us know what your favorite holiday events are this season and send in your pics wearing a Body Bark piece!
